Cloves

Cloves are intensely aromatic flower buds with a warm, sweet, and slightly peppery flavour. They are widely used in savoury dishes, baked goods, beverages, and spice blends around the world.

Store whole cloves in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Whole cloves retain their flavour and aroma much longer than ground cloves.

• Add whole cloves to soups, stews, rice dishes, and braises during cooking to infuse flavour.

• Remove whole cloves before serving, as they are very hard and intensely flavoured.

• Grind as needed for baking, desserts, and spice blends.
